Over the past several months, Ryan Steger, Indiana Recruiter and Dan Angle, Training Manager have been attending job fairs at high schools and technical schools across Central and Northern Indiana to find the best candidates for the 2019 Dilling Summer Boot Camp and perhaps go through our rigorous 4 Year Apprenticeship Program for Electrical, Plumbing or Pipefitting.

They identified 100 potential students from that exhaustive search to move to the next step in the process. Each potential student was asked to provide a resume and be interviewed by a panel of Dilling employees. There were over 30 mechanical and 30 electrical students that went through the process with only 20 being chosen to start the Boot Camp on June 17th.

The first week of Boot Camp focused on Safety with the second week focused on their trade of interest. After two weeks of intense training, the students were able to join our Dilling team with a “Signing Ceremony” on Friday, June 28th. This signing ceremony signifies our commitment to the growth of each new employee as well as their commitment to fully participate in the Apprenticeship Program and do their best. It’s a significant investment that Dilling Group makes in every Apprentice, but it’s what sets our company apart from so many others.

Dilling Group Inc will continue to identify young people to participate in the next Boot Camp and Apprenticeship program, which will start in January 2020.
