Industrial Design Group Article
David B. Smith, PE of the Industrial Design Group submitted this article for publication in The Oil Mill Gazetteer.

Author’s Note: The article is a review of the different parameters an operations manager should consider in order to effectively and efficiently operate an extraction unit operation. This is the type of information that is just as applicable today as it was 20 years ago. I believe the data are still relevant today, with the exception of the prices of oil and meal. Today’s prices are approximately 42 cents/pound for oil and 21 cents/pound for meal. However, it is interesting that the ratio of the prices is still the same at 2:1.

I hope you find the article interesting.
